Life and the demand of family has kept me out of the blog loop for more than a year. Actually it's kept me out of a lot of loops, blogging being just one of them. But, I'm back and I will try to make up for lost time over the next several months.
First up on my agenda is the announcement that I was featured in the wonderful magazine, Where Women Create! Even though the magazine came out more than a year ago,it is still pretty much a part of who I am and how I still like to live now, so there's no time like the present to entice you to get a copy for yourself to have a real peek into my crazy world. That issue and and others are available here.
WWC has long been my very favorite magazine, bar none. As much as I love seeing the art of others, I like seeing where others make their art even more. It's almost like gazing inside someone's head. Getting a glimpse of how artists set up work spaces and living spaces reveals so much about how creative minds work. Are they organized? Are they cluttered? Are they colorful and chaotic with excitement or serenely laid back in texture and palette? So very often the way artists decorate their homes and studios carries over into the art they produce. I am one of those. If you want to know what I like to paint or illustrate or write about take a look at my home and studios.
My house is like my work and stories: full of details, colors, textures, and energy. No minimalist, I. Take a look for yourself at a few of these pictures. Then get the magazine and indulge in exploring not only my spaces but those of others. It's like dessert for your brain.
