Hey, good one! If you're on a mac, you already have a recording program called Garage Band. I bought a "snowball" microphone and just sang to a karaoke version of the song. But yesterday, I played with my NEW Christmas toy, (well, an old toy in new clothes), a midi keyboard that now -- thanks to a $30 adapter -- plays thru Garage Band. So much fun. Laying down tracks with SOOOO many bells and whistles... literally. Just lots of creative fun, even if it does make me wish I'd listened to my mother and practiced the piano a lot harder in my youth!
